27mm (just over an inch for you Americans) circular brass-base piezo electric element, comes with 6" leads soldered, stripped, tinned, and ready to go. Make fantastic pickups for instruments, because although they bend when electricity is applied, they also make electricity when bend is applied. Commonly used for acoustic instrument and drum machine pickups. These won't make noise without an external signal. If that's what you want, look for an "active" buzzer.

5v Active Buzzer

5v active buzzer, 3.5-5.5v in, a very audible 2.3khz tone out. "Active" refers to that the circuitry for the signal is integral, you need only feed it DC voltage and it'll do the rest.

Fantastic for any device or skill game requiring a highly audible alarm. The tone is quite high, and can be muted by the careful application of tape to the hole on top. See alternate pictures for technical details.

Bridge Rectifier, 1000V, 1A

Nice basic DIP silicone bridge rectifier. Operation is very simple: two pins are marked with ~, that's where the AC goes in, and then there's a + and a - where the DC comes out. Note, the power these can handle is reliant on heat dissipation, so it's likely these cannot handle 1000V at 1A without melting, but 6V at 1A or 1000V at 5mA will work fine.

Hall Effect Sensor, Y3144

The Y3144 (interchangeable with A3144) is a good basic starter hall effect sensor, and has an integrated switch to make the output digital, so either on, or off. It can run anywhere from 4.5-30 volts, and can handle enough current to run a transistor or even an LED.

Microswitch, 1A 125V

These basic microswitches are the perfect switch for your robot projects where you might need an impact sensor or a trigger, they flip at about 20 grams of force, and that can be lowered with a longer lever.

The term "Microswitch" doesn't actually refer to the physical size of the switch, but the fact that the action is very sensitive, and is definitively "on" or "off", not squishy and bad.

Physical dimensions and schematic are available, rated for 1A at 125VAC, so they'll easily handle any low power applications.

Mini Breadboard, SYB-170

Prototyping PCB

Printed circuit boards with rows of plated holes and pads, for prototyping or low-volume applications where custom boards are not economically viable. Hole pitch is 2.54mm or 10 per inch, and hole diameter is 1mm, or 0.039". Rows and columns are marked accordingly with letters and numbers, there are power tabs on the ends of the boards, and non-plated 2mm mounting holes in all four corners. 2x8 boards are gold plated, but all perform equally. If we're out of a certain size, we'll contact you to arrange an alternative.

Reed Switch, Low Power

These tiny little reed switches are perfect for magnetic detectors of all sorts, and they're remarkably economical. Physical dimensions are 2x14mm, 14mm leads, 42mm total length. Not recommended for over 30v or 250mw. Best used as a low-power sensor instead of a switch, could be used with a transistor or relay for higher power switching.

Silicone Super-Flexible High Temperature Wire

This silicone wire is capable of incredible flexibility due to having a large number of very fine internal tin-plated copper strands, as well as having extremely soft, flexible silicone insulation, which also means this wire is rated for 600v, tested to 2kv, and performs comfortably in temperatures from -76°f to 390°!

The flexibility, temperature, and voltage ratings don't differ between gauges, but for everything that does, refer to the table below!

Super Capacitors, 2.7V 1.5F

At the rated 2.7V and 1.5 farads (yes, full farads), these capacitors pack about 5.4 joules at full charge, which is equal to 5.4 watts for one second, or a watt for 5.4 seconds, or a milliwatt for one and a half hours. The low voltage limits their usage, but single cells will run an LED no problem, and they're easy to hook in series or parallel for more volts or farads, respectively. For comparison, an LR44 has about 3 times the energy storage, but these capacitors are rechargeable thousands of times, and contain no hazardous chemicals.

Physical dimensions are only 8.5x12.5mm with 20mm leads, and weight is just under a gram. Longer lead indicates the positive pole, and a stripe on the casing indicates negative.

Super Capacitors, 2.7V 100F, Factory Seconds

These capacitors are, unfortunately, plagued by physical damage, but their operating specifications still hold true. Until you witness the power of 100 full farads by melting paper clips in seconds, or keeping an LED lit for days on end, don't judge by the dents or dings! Also they're like, super cheap. Rated for 2.7v at 100 farads. Case color may vary.

Super Capacitors, 5.5V 1.5F

Modern EDLC supercapacitors with the magic of porous carbon electrodes, these particular models are rated for use at 5.5V and 1.5F, that's right, full farads!

Because of their higher voltage, they can be set up to run LEDs for a much longer time than our single-cell 2.7V caps.

Handy little thermocouple thermometer, just add one 9v battery, switch on. Responsive and accurate.

Thermometer, 20mm

These tiny little thermometers have a range of 0-120° Fahrenheit, which is basically the livable range of humans, so should prove quite useful anytime you have any doubt about what temperature it is, and you're also alive. Available in Celsius AND Fahrenheit!

Their small size (20mm, almost exactly the diameter of a US penny, and 7.5mm thick) allows them to be used in a wide range of scenarios, anything from leaving one on the outside window sill to check the temperature, to craft projects, to attaching one to your watch and feeling like Inspector Gadget.

These are water resistant, but they are not waterproof, so will not stand submersion. Some light sealing with lacquer or wax should do the trick if you're interested in using them underwater for aquarium heat tracking or similar cooling system

Nice basic little thermometer, not technically a thermocouple, but accurate, and covers a wide range of useful temperatures. Features:
