The classic silica gel found in those packets in food to absorb moisture and protect whatever doesn't like being moist, but with a twist: This silica gel has a small percentage of cobalt chloride, which makes it a beautiful blue when dry, and a pale pink when saturated, so you can tell when to refresh it! Cobalt chloride is mildly toxic, so it is not recommended that you discard large quantities of this silica gel after use. Instead, bake it at 110°C (or 220°F) until it returns to blue, and it's ready to be re-used! Also not recommended for direct contact with food, but perfectly safe to share a sealed container with it.
