Fluorescein Dye, Water/Oil/Refrigerant

Fluorescein, C20H12O5, is an organic dye which when dissolved becomes extremely fluorescent under UV light. This dye is used in leak detecting and fluid tracing, as well as in highlighting markers and fluorescent toys. In small quantities it is non-toxic, and is even used to find micro fissures in eye surgery, however it is not food-safe and should never be used in contact with skin or internally.

Sold in 6cc or 15cc dropper bottles. Recommended concentration for oil and water dyes is 16 drops per gallon of fluid to be dyed, so the 6cc bottles can dye up to 8 gallons, the 15cc bottles up to 20.

The AC refrigerant dye is a PAG 100 compressor lubricant as well as a dye, optimized for most automotive and window-mount systems. Usage is 5-10 drops for a typical automotive system, but consult your unit's manual for specific lubrication needs.

NOTE: Air conditioning systems are complex in their operation and repair, and contain chemicals that are hazardous to your health and the environment. Do not attempt repairs without having thorough knowledge of the entire system before you begin.

All dyes have manufacturer certification available on request, excepting the Craft-grade dye, which shouldn't be used in expensive, critical, or food-grade machinery, but is plenty of fun for other projects, or non-critical leak and flow testing in water systems.

Available with economical zinc-plated hardware for good corrosion resistance, or 304 Stainless Steel hardware for superb corrosion resistance. Although most people already have key-rings to attach to, we also offer a solid 304 stainless steel 1" key-ring as an add-on option. Be aware, cheap plated or steel key rings will eventually lose their outer plating, and potentially discolor or corrode. Ours are non-magnetic stainless steel, and will last a lifetime if not subjected to strong acid or temperatures over 2,000°, so not suitable for use on Mercury or Venus. Mars is fine.

As this item isn't mass produced, they will of course be prone to variation from piece to piece, but every piece is inspected to assure it fulfills its intended purpose adequately. Glow Pebbles, Ceramic/Glass

Large, 15-35mm (3/4-1 1/2") ceramic/glass glow stones, same vivid long-lasting colors as our pebbles, but in a durable glass material.

Perfect for any use, longer lifespan outdoors than our resin stones, slightly brighter and longer glow, and completely inert and non-toxic. Truly a fantastic product.

Retro-Reflective Circles, 1"

These durable self-adhesive 1" round circles are infused with tiny spherical glass beads that reflect light back towards its source, making it shine brightly to anyone with headlights. Invaluable to anybody who's interested it being near cars at night and living until morning, and a great deal of other projects.

Retro-Reflective Iron-On Tape, 1" Wide

Essentially the same as our self-adhesive tape, but instead of the peel-and-stick, it has a permanent heat-set adhesive.

This means simply clean and iron the wrinkles out of your garment or other item, find the protective cover on the tape, and make sure it is face UP, towards the iron, then iron on with medium heat (250-300°F), let cool, and remove the protective cover. Done.

You'll be so safe from cars, you'll know exactly what hit you. Nothing.

Retro-Reflective Powder/Beads, 1/2oz Bag

This incredible material is comprised of tiny glass spheres that, similar to a cat's eye, reflect light directly back towards its source. This specific product is made with high-purity glass with low inclusions, and is greater than 98% spherical for best reflectance.

Powder is extremely free-flowing, and resembles pure white sand, or sugar. Best used as a surface treatment, such as on top of wet paint, polymer clay, glues, or other adhesives. If you're looking to apply to other surfaces or fabric, we also sell tape and iron-on fabric trim that will save you time and effort!

Also capable of a fascinating sort of dry lubrication, which we discovered after spilling some. Everything we set on our desk became frictionless, and would slide off without our intervention! This works because of the high roundness of the tiny beads, and because they're glass, they're good insulators, so they tend to collect static charge and disperse themselves.
